with optional 1-week extension in Dharamsala, India
Lynne Wiggins, who is a member of Tibet Aid's Board of Directors and a sponsor of a child at the
Tibetan Children's Villages, joins with Tibet Aid to invite you to travel on a two week spiritual
pilgrimage to Tibet, centered in and around Lhasa, followed by a week-long extension in Dharamsala.
The focus of our trip is pilgrimage and cultural insight. We begin our trip in
Kathmandu where we spend a few days visiting the Tibetan Community, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath,
Kathmandu City and Patan. We then fly to Lhasa and spend the next 6 days visiting Lhasa and its
outlying areas. The city is home to the Potala Palace, Jokhang, the Barkhor and the Sera and Drepung
Monasteries. For two nights we leave Lhasa and drive to Drikung out in the countryside and experience
life in a Tibetan Guest House or in a Tibetan Gear (Nomad Camp). From there we visit a village where
our former travel groups have helped to build a school and medical clinic. Our journey continues as we drive to Shigatse and
Gyantse and then on to Tashilunpo, Tingri, and more.

Lynne's web site.
