Tibetan Elders in Tibet These Tibetan elders reside in nomadic villages on the Tibetan Plateau. None of them have adult children living with them who can help them or care for them in their old age. They live in poverty and sometimes go days without an adequate meal. Your sponsorship of $25 per month provides these Tibetan Elders with regular meals, warm clothing, and basic Tibetan medicines. Correspondence with these elders is severely limited due to their location.
		Name: K, Female Code: TEN_1939-2008K Resides: Tibet DOB: 1939 K IS 69 years old. All the young people in her village, including her children, have moved to larger cities, but they do not make enough money to care for themselves and have no extra funds to send back to their village. With your assistance, K will have a little easier life in her elder years.

		Name: O, Female Code: TEN_1931-2008P Resides: Tibet DOB: 1931 P is 77 years old and walks with a stick, slightly bent over by her years. Her weathered smile and cheery attitude match the sparse beauty of her homeland in the high plateau.

		Name: KD, Female Code: TEN_1933-2008KD Resides: Tibet DOB: 1933 KD is a 75 year old woman. She is neat and tidy and lives heartily, sleeping on mats and pillows on the floor of a small mud hut lined with rugs and canvas bags.

		Name: J, Male Code: TEN_1952-2008J Resides: Tibet DOB: 1952 J is a mentally challenged 56 year old man. He has no family, so he resides with the elders, who take care of him. THANK YOU! I'VE BEEN SPONSORED!

Tibetan Elders in Exile These Tibetan elders and elder monks and nuns fled their homelands seeking religious freedom. Now they find themselves entering their old age in refugee communities that cannot easily support them and provide needed medical care. Your sponsorship of $25 per month provides a Tibetan Elder in exile with meals, housing, personal services, and health care. Correspondence with the Elders is limited by their advanced age and need for assistance with translation.

		Name: Choezom , Female Code: c/o Rabgyal Resides: TDL Camp No. 2, H.No. 6 DOB: not specified Choezom is an elderly Tibetan woman who is mentally challenged. Her daughter is also mentally disturbed. Rabgyal, Choezom's son, takes care of both of them and gives them a normal life. As Rabgyal's income from seasonal farming is meager, we are seeking a sponsor for Choezom in her elder years.

She lost her sight seven years ago and is cared for by her daughter, Dawa. Dawa is poor herself and has three children.
